Liz strongly believes that the most effective way to create positive change in therapy is to provide a safe and supportive space to empower individuals and families to explore, create, and work towards achieving their goals. She loves to bring fun, creativity, and imagination into the therapeutic process to encourage engagement and comfort within the therapeutic relationship. Liz comes to Mass Bay after working for a therapeutic after school program where she created and ran therapeutic groups for children and supported families across various settings. She uses several different approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and strengths-based and trauma-informed care.
Liz is an independently licensed social worker who earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Communications at Fairfield University and her graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. Liz has a passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents who are experiencing difficulties stemming from stressful or traumatic experiences, and she believes that all people have an innate right to receive mental healthcare.
