Katey is a Master’s level clinician who believes in the inherent strength of all people. Some individuals may recognize Katey as our previous Client Care Coordinator who was the first point of contact for all intakes over the last 3 years. Katey is non-binary and neurodivergent, which makes them passionate about working from a queer and neurodiversity affirming stance. Additionally, they believe in the importance of autonomy and collaboration, and aim to work side by side with their clients to help them achieve their self-determined goals. Katey prefers to utilize therapy modalities that are strengths-based and solutions-focused, and also integrates pieces of CBT, narrative therapy, and DBT skills.
Katey graduated from Simmons University May 2022 with their MSW after doing their clinical field placement here at Mass Bay Counseling. For undergrad, Katey went to UMass Boston, where they earned a BA in Psychology and Sociology, as well as a BS from the Honors College.
When they aren’t working, Katey can usually be found spending time with their numerous pets on their family farm or sitting down to read a good fantasy book. Katey is looking forward to continuing their journey working in the mental health field and is excited to continue to grow with Mass Bay.
